Sur le Mardi, 29 Septembre, vingt personnes de nationalitès differents ont recontré a Madrid, Espagne. The group, dressed as giant ears of corn, was asking for what they called "agricultural asylum" from the French commission in Madrid. The organization, called Friends of the Earth, gave a petition to an official reading, "we would rather flee to France than be genetically modified," because the "gm" corn has already been banned in France. Spain, however, is the only European country to still grow genetically modified corn. J'espère qu'ils ont raison!

This year marked the 120th anniversary of the opening of the world famous Eiffel Tower, or, la Tour Eiffel. To celebrate this event, an exhibition has opened on the first floor of the tower. Here visitors can learn about it's history and some behind-the-scenes secrets. Additionally, a spectacular fireworks display was held in Paris on July 14th. To the French people, this day is better knows as "Bastille Day."
